Meet The Trainers

Kellie Green

Hi! My name is Kellie and I am the incredibly proud owner of Mini First Aid Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Forest of Dean and Chepstow. I qualified as a paediatric nurse in 2013 and since I qualified I have been lucky enough to work in a number of different areas of nursing - but most recently found myself working in A&E. In lockdown I became a mommy myself - to a little girl called Brianna - and was able to see things from a different perspective. A parent's perspective. In November 2021 I decided that I wanted to share my skills and knowledge with other parents/ grandparents/ carers and anyone else who wanted to learn life saving skills. Not just this, but I wanted to be able to deliver these in a relaxed and comfortable style, make them available to those with newborns (I know what it's like to not want to leave your new baby!) My aim is to share with you the skills and knowledge to give you the confidence to know what actions to take if ever faced with a medical emergency. I can't wait to meet you (and your babies!) Kellie x

Grace Worthington

I am a nurse, a wife and a mum to two gorgeous boys – Boaz 4 and Micah 2. We have had a few unfortunate events in our childrens’ little lives including life threatening choking, bronchiolitis which led to a stay in intensive care and a meningitis scare. What struck me as we shared these experiences with our friends and what we did for our kids, was the overwhelming response of ‘I wouldn’t have had a clue what to do!’. Fortunately, because of my background I had had some training so I knew the basics of what to do, and each situation had a great outcome, but so many people who find themselves in difficulty with children, haven’t. One of my biggest passions in my work has been to teach others. I love that ‘lightbulb moment’ people get when something you’re teaching clicks and makes sense. It’s such a buzz to help people learn! And that’s why I joined Mini First Aid – I want to see loads of lightbulb moments teaching those who look after children, making sure they have confidence to know how to react and where to get help in those unthinkable moments. We really do teach life-saving skills and for £20 and 2 hours of your time, for me, it’s a no-brainer!
